I am a proponent of servant leadership and strive to create healthy, supported, well-functioning teams as a means to delivering the best work possible.
Design Is Solving Problems
As a design team we go beyond what is seen to solve for what is felt. Complex problems require simple, straightforward, honest solutions and design thinking is the means by which we arrive at those solutions.
Work Tactically, Think Strategically
We are responsible for considering the broader picture and long term success in everything we produce. With that consideration in mind, we break solutions down to manageable pieces and stretch what is possible while still delivering.
Facilitate Collaboration
Designers create clarity by driving cross-functional collaboration. We relentlessly pursue new data, new insights, new points-of-view to constantly improve our experiences. We facilitate tough, cross-team conversations to cut through ambiguity and drive results.
Show and Tell
Designers have the power to put ideas onto paper. We make the intangible seem possible and then map the way to get there. Through our work we are able to illustrate the future and through our words we bring others along on the journey.
Assume Good Intent
Design is a fundamentally unselfish practice dedicated to understanding the needs and behaviors of others. We build on ideas and understand we cannot do it all along. We focus our energy on building up the team and always looking for solutions.
Shape the Experience
Successful design solutions move people to action by satisfying their needs and giving meaning to their experience. We strive to create digital experiences that are thoughtful, engaging, useful and always improving.
